Exploration for Oil and Gas is a multidisciplinary project. In order to be successful, it is necessary to integrate knowledge of a great variety of geosciences such as sedimentology, structural geology, petrography, biostratigraphy, geochemistry, geophysics, well-logging, basin analysis and palaeogeography-climatology among others.
The IPR presents its experience on all-above items and provides its support on the following:
- Seismic Interpretation and evaluations (On- and Offshore data)
- Development of Sequence Stratigraphic Models (clastic, carbonate and transitional)
- Biostratigraphic assignments and correlations (cored, dredged and outcrops material)
- Integrated system for geophysical & geochemical studies in Petroleum Basins (PB)
- Modeling of Petroleum Basins (including the experimental kinetic modeling of kerogen)
- Characterization of petroleum fluids and rocks
- Climate Change through modern and past analogs
- Depleted Fields & Geologic Energy Storage Studies for new areas (i.e. CO2-CCS)
- Deep Geothermal Energy of High Enthalpy
